GTT Tracking COWS…but..

Posted on May 15, 2008 | Filed Under GTT News

….not the black and white four legged grass eating kind…we are talking about C.O.Ws, better known as a Cell On Wheels. Leading COW company American Tower has turned to GTT to provide them with covert tracking devices for installation in their mobile cellular antennas.

Quite often cellular network providers need to fill in the gaps in their coverage. This could be because of a disaster or because of anticipated huge demand on the network at a public event, for example New Years Eve in Time Square, New York. To increase this capacity within the cell network, they quite literally ’wheel’ in mobile antennas that add additional cells to their network.

American Tower are one of the USA’s leading providers of mobile antenna technology and will be using GTT’s miniature covert tracking systems for enhanced management of their COW assets as they are deployed across the USA.

GTT ‘Springs’ Forward With New Customers & Innovations

Posted on March 8, 2008 | Filed Under GTT GPS Tracking Products, GTT News

As we move into Spring, GTT is excited to have spent the last 3 months working on a number of new client contracts and product innovations. More detailed announcements will follow in the next few weeks however we are able to provide the following summaries:

Over the last 3 months, GTT has worked on the development of a bespoke safe that can be retrofitted with an AGPS (assisted GPS, a high accuracy location method) tracking device. This system enables companies moving large quantities of small high value items within the safes to track the location and receive arrival, diversion and unauthorized door opening alerts. This system, including the safe, is suitable for tracking and securing shipments of medicines, jewellery, cash and other items that have a small form factor but high value. Our test clients have been able to locate the safe inside buildings, cars and warehouses.

Similarly, GTT has been working on a package tracking system for a major customer who has been experiencing losses of products during shipment.

In the personal tracking space, GTT has implemented a solution on behalf of a client who is looking to better manage the location of their staff. This system also utilises AGPS technology as the clients staff are employed inside a building.

Internationally, GTT is actively involved in a number of customs and border security projects. These projects are at a consultative phase.

GTT Sees Significant Sales Growth

Posted on December 5, 2007 | Filed Under GTT News

Demand for Global Tracking Technologies solutions looks very promising for 2008.

GTT has had its best year in 2007 and the sales picture for 2008 and into 2009 looks very promising. The key factors determining this positive trend are:

  • GTT has developed significant long term domestic and international business.
  • The GPS tracking industry is maturing with a move away from low volume purchasing innovators, into market specific early adopters looking to enhance their existing product and services. This growth trend is mainly seen in the logistics and supply chain industries with GTT securing contracts with 5 companies who operate in this space. GTT’s customers have chosen our solutions in part to our longevity and experience in the marketplace.
  • International mobile telephony markets opening up and actively promoting the GTT Virtual Tracking Service Provider program to their business and corporate customers.
  • Setting up a Middle East office to service our customers in Saudi Arabia and to develop new business across the Gulf and into North Africa
  • A reawakening of the GPS based offender tracking potential in Non-USA markets and GTT has been engaged to consult and advise on a number of programs
  • GTT has developed solutions aimed at a global user base and not a country specific user base. This has seen GTT solutions scale rapidly internationally on the back of widely available GPRS data networks and our hosted ASP tracking solution with full international vector and satellite mapping.

Floyd Raynard, CEO of GTT says, "2008 is going to be a phenomenal year for GTT and we look forward to providing GTT’s innovative solutions to customers existing and new across the Globe so we can truly deliver Global tracking technology."

GTT Announce New Customers for Advanced GPS Package Tracking System

Posted on August 14, 2007 | Filed Under GTT GPS Tracking Products, GTT News

Global Tracking Technology’s Assisted GPS (AGPS) Package Trackers In High Demand By USA logistics companies.

In the last few months GTT has been quietly working on the implementation of a number of high value package tracking systems with some of the USA’s top logistics companies. Their needs have been simple : to achieve visibility of the movement of their client’s goods from A to B with the additional benefit of an alerting system in case packages failed to reach their specified destination in time, were tampered with or were moved ’off route’.

GTT, in association with Sprint and a number of highly specialised device OEMs have developed a system. specifically aimed at the GPS Package Tracking market. Teething problems that many companies faced in the early days of AGPS implementation in the USA have been ironed out by GTT.

The GTT package tracking system is available to logistics companies and security service providers at reasonably low cost, thereby enabling these companies to offer the GPS tracking service to their clients for an economical fee or at no cost as a added value service.
